Help Anita place some feral kitties! This is Anita’s description (you can reach her at kisshorses@aol.com)
| Anita Says: |
Rex brought me a Halloween present, 2 feral kittens. He caught them on the side of the road, waiting to be road kill, hawk bait or owl bait. One is taming really well, a little black medium length haired I think female kitten. She purrs and purrs when you pet her. She is getting brave when you reach for her, so all she needs is to get brave and come to you for petting. Still a process in a enclosed environment but it should be a easy process. (think horsemanship)
the other is a longer haired brown tabby who still hisses when you approach but at least he doesn’t immediately smack at you anymore. so he will take longer.
Here is my pitch: If you want to test your horsemanship skills, try it on a feral kitten! It really is a test to see if you can transfer what we do with horses into another species.
Now the hardship: I can’t tell you how many cats we have in our house. Rex brought me home a feral kitten in August and his mother(not feral) he is now very tame, very needy, very playful, and takes up lots of my time. Along with all the other cats we have both inside and out. HELP!!!!!!!
If you can take one of these kittens or know of someone, please let me know.
Anita
